Route Notes 12 Sept - at Advanced Base Camp 16 Sept - the first climb and transport of tents to C1 at 6430m 19 Sept - ascent to C1, night at C1 20 Sept - ascent from C1 to C2 at 7100m with tents and transport materials. Ski descent from C2 to C1, where we stayed another night 21 Sept - down from C1 to ABC 27 Sept - ascent to C1, night at C1 28 Sept – ascent from C1 to C2, night at C2 and passed the day 29 September, the day before summit. The night between 29 and 30 Sept after midnight (0:30 Nepal time) we started from C2, and at 12:40 pm on 30 Sept, after about 12 hours of climbing, we were on the summit of Cho Oyu. The summit day, 30 Sept, was not windy and not very cold. We remained 45 minutes on the summit (we were 4 alpinists: Ang Dawa Sherpa, Mariusz Malkowski, Riccardo Bergamini and Mario Monaco) and at 1:25 pm, I started the ski descent alone. I easily passed the Yellow Band at 7800m in a zone with snow and at 2:55 pm in the afternoon arrived at C2. I waited for my friends who were coming down from the summit on foot; they were without skis and we passed the night at C2. 1 October we closed the tents, started from C2 on skis, I passed skiing with caution the Ice Fall at 6750m and arrived at C1. We closed the tents of C1 and ski below C1 down to 6200m, where the snow was finished. Changed the skis and come together at the ABC. I think this is the first Italian ski descent from summit. The first snowboard Italian descent was made by my friend Marco Galliano on 2011. Bergamini - 7 Oct 2013 Bergamini, Monaco and Dawa started from C2 at 12:30 hrs (NST) of 30 September. They reached summit at 13:30 hrs and stayed on summit for 20 minutes. Monaco skied down to C2 where he arrived at around 15:30 hrs. Bergamini and Dawa reached C2 around 18:30 hours and next day 1 October they went down to ABC.
