Route Notes Two Spanish members of the expedition Cestero and Martin went up to C2 on 5 May. They could not continue their climb as there were no fixed ropes above C2. Ichaso went up to approx 6700m. He was tired. Boardman suffered from his left ear infection and became very weak during his acclimatization period. So he gave up trying again to climb. He went to 6800m on April 29 with Karma Sherpa. Sherpa: Karma Sherpa Lingvall, Matsson, Dawa and Pasang went up to C2 on 5 May. When they realized that there was no fixed line above C2, they decided to give up further climbing. Sherpas: Dawa Gyalzen Sherpa, (10/6/2036) 26/9/1979, Yaphu-9 Pasang Gyalzen Sherpa, (15/6/2021) 30/9/1964, Makalu-9 On 29 April Tshering Dorje and Masters left C1 at 9:30 am (CST) to move up to C2, however, when they reached 6900m at 1:30 pm, Masters was too tired to carry on and his body was telling him that it was time to stop.
