| Route Notes | 3 Sherpas (Nurbu, Pemba and Kusang) went to C3 on 30 Sept with the main team, then fixed rope to the shoulder (~8000m), returned to C3, then left again for the summit with the main team. Drexler and Luethi departed for summit on 30 Sept from C2, but turned around at 7200m due to exhaustion. The main team plus 3 Sherpas departed for the summit from C3 at midnight of 30 Sept. The weather was clear, but cold. When Dussex and Schloeder reached 7500m, Schloeder had very cold feet and Dussex was exhausted, so they decided to turn back. They returned to C2 where they stayed the night. Peeraer reached an altitude of 7800m, but turned back due to cold feet. The rest of the team summited without any problems between 7:30 and 11:30 am (CST). 7:30 am - Neuschmid, J Diez, S Diez, Kreienbuhl, Pedevilla, Norbu 9:30 am - Hanf, Scholz 11:30 am - Haberl with Pemba or Kusang ???? am - Bernhard, Mayr, Thallmair They descended to C2 where they arrived between 2 pm and 5 pm. The following day they all descended to BC. Resing reached 7000m on 18 Sept, but did not carry on due to lack of mental strength (fear of avalanching); he left Sept 25. Zimmermann reached 7000m on 18 Sept, but did not carry on due to exhaustion. Oxygen: not used, not taken Resing was the only member intending to use oxygen.
