Route Notes Hales, Nichols, Smith, Dorje and Mingma left C2 at 1 am (NST) of 1 Oct. Nichols and Dorje got to the top at 10 am, Hales and Mingma at 11:15 am, and Smith at 11:30 am. The climbers stayed on the summit about 20 minutes. Nichols and Dorje got back to C2 and 3 pm and the rest at 5 pm. Next day 2 Oct the team went down to ABC. They saw prayer flags on the summit and also had a view of Everest. About 30 climbers were on the summit ahead of the Smith team. Weather was very good, clear sky and sunny day. David Woods left the expedition on 20 Sept due to personal reasons and arrived in Kathmandu on 21 Sept. Norgaard reached 7200m on summit day and turned back with stomach problems.
