Route Notes Nette suffered from high altitude sickness on 18 Sept at C1. He was brought down to mid-camp on 20 Sept then to CBC. While waiting for jeep he was kept into Gamov bag and given oxygen. Nette arrived Kathmandu on 22 Sept and left on 24 or 25 Sept. Arden had breathing problem at C1 and gave climbing up climbing. Wells and Lhakpa (Lakpa) reached C2 on 23 Sept. Due to bad weather they too gave up further climbing. At the beginning Chinese team put up fixed ropes up to C2. There was avalanche, nobody was seriously injured. Then Chinese stop going up and asked expedition Sherpas to do the work of putting fixed ropes. 10 Sherpas took over the job. The Sherpa team fixed the line up to C3. At 8000m there was a big slab avalanche on 27 Sept. Some Sherpas injured, but nobody died. After that no one took initative to put up the fixed line. Fixed rope: 150 contributed to TMA.
