| Route Notes | In the process of acclimatization the team spent a night at C2 on 20 Sept and descended to ABC 21 Sept. The plan was to attempt for summit on 24 or 25 Sept. But the condition on mountain did not improve and no fixed ropes were put up above the Yellow Band. The Chinese team fixed the ropes between 15-20 Sept. An avalanche hit the rope team and a rescue team was sent up to bring down the injured members. A second time ropes were fixed by Sherpas around 25-26 Sept. This team too was hit by an avalanche. There were some injured Sherpas and a rescue team was sent up to bring down the injured members. After that no team tried to put up the fixed line. The team returned to Kathmandu on 1 Oct. Leader will leave on 5 Oct. Members will leave on 14 Oct after Annapurna trek. |
