Route Notes Three members summited on May 22, c13:00-13:20 Chinese Time (c10:45-11:05 NST), no more than 5-10 minutes apart, in summiting order: Tanel Tuuleveski, Allan Valge, Saulius Vilius. All four other members reached C2 in acclimatization climb. Tolpezninkaite and Kaasik found this spring's conditions too icy and technical and therefore too dangerous for them. Kala volunteered to help Sikk back to Kathmandu and home. All members were equal, financially and otherwise, but since Vilius had more experience on 8000ers, than the rest of the group put together, it was only logical that he took the leader position. No Sherpa or Tibetan climbing assistants. Following the evacuation of one member from the route and departing of two others, we used 4 or 5 Tibetan porters hauling baggage back from C1 to ABC. Used the usual C1 (6400m) and C2 (7100m). C1 established April 22, C2 established April 26. After two aborted summit pushes on May 3-5 and 9-15, the successful summit push followed: May 19 ABC -> C1 May 21 C1 -> C2 May 22 C2 -> Smt -> C2 May 23 C2 -> ABC We didn't use the usual C3. Also no supplemental oxygen was used. ABC arrival was April 20, departure on May 24. Alar Sikk was evacuated from the altitude of c7000m (13-14 May), with suspected HACE, later diagnosed as stroke in Kathmandu. For permits and base camp support we used Ang Rita Treks & Expeditions. Camp manager and cook was Gyalzen Sherpa.
Accidents Sikk suffered stroke at 7000m (below C2)
