| Route Notes | High Point: 7100m 30 April. Brill, Jacomet, Schuler and Walker left C1 at 8 am on 30 April. Weather warm and calm. Good conditions. They spent one night at C2 for acclimatization and descended to ABC the following day. They had finished their acclimatization process and waited for the weather to improve for the summit push. However, the high winds did not abate and on 11 May the team decided to abandon the expedition due to bad weather forecast and they were running out of time. Dannecker's highest point was C1. He reached it for the first time on 25 April, and in total the whole team reached C1 four times. When the team went to C2 on 20 April he did not join them as they were thinking of starting their summit push at that time and that would have been too early for him. However, when the high point team reached C2, they decided that they were not ready for the summit and descended back to ABC. |
