Route Notes Only two members made a bid for the summit. Boscato and Toniolo got to C2 on 23 September when it was established, but never went higher; they were too tired to carry on. Giralt joined the expedition in order to be with Merelli, whom she planned to marry in November; she went up to C1 on the 16th and afterwards stayed in ABC. The summit party consisted of Merelli and Zaffaroni only. They left ABC on 26 September for C1, and on the 27th to C2. At midnight of 28/29 September (NST), they left C2. Merelli was on the summit at 9:00 am and Zaffaroni at 10:30 am. They descended to C2, where Merelli arrived at 2:30 pm and Zaffaroni at 4:00 pm. They went down to C1 on the 30th and to ABC on the 1st of October.
