Route Notes On 23 Sept summit team left C2 at midnight. Weather was calm but cloudy and the climb was straightforward. They reached the summit at noon; however, it was very cloudy and they only got a glimpse of Everest. They spent about half an hour on the summit and descended to C2, where they arrived at 4 pm. The following day they descended to ABC. Ortiz reached C2 on 16 Sept and 26 Sept. He did not go on the initial summit push with the other team members, as he was not feeling well at BC. However, on 24 Sept he tried to push for the summit, as he was feeling better. He reached C1 on 25 Sept and C2 on 26 Sept. He stayed one night at C2, but he was too tired to carry on and the weather was bad. On 27 Sept he descended to ABC.
