Route Notes One member left the expedition early: Horst Baier was a slow climber, got to 6300m in the first icefall on 15 September, and became very tired. He left the team on 17 Sept. All the other members summited. They left C3 at 11:30 pm (Nepalese time) on 23 September, and reached the top on the 24th from 4:00 am (Szczepanik) to 6:15 am (Iliopoulou). All descended to C1 that day: Szczepanik and Piszczeu were the first to arrive at 10:00 am, while Iliopoulou and Vernovage were the last at 4:30 pm. All were back in ABC the next day. Three Sherpas and two Tibetans summited with the members. The Sherpas were Da Nuru, Mingma Dorje and Minma Tenzing. The Tibetans were Ngawang Dorje and and Kedup. All summiting members used oxygen in and from C3 to the top and down to (but not in) C3, except Szczepanik, who used it in and from C2 to top to (but not in) C3.
