| Route Notes | Alonso, Gonzalez and Linzing stayed in C1 for two nights, from 19 Sept to 21 Sept. They left C1 for C2 at 10 am (Chinese Time) and they arrived at C2 at 5 pm. They deposited their tent, food and gas and descended to C1, where they arrived at 8 pm. On 22 Sept, they descended to ABC to rest; however, on 25 Sept they decided to abandon their climb due to very bad weather. It snowed most of the time and as they were also running out of time, they decided to go back to Kathmandu. On 24 Sept, the three ascended to C1 and Linzing carried on to C2 to collect the gear. They left ABC at 9 am, they arrived at C1 at about noon. Linzing took another 4 hours to go back to C2. They all descended to ABC, where they arrived at 10 pm. They left BC on 26 Sept. Burla did not get out of ABC as he had decided that he did not want to climb the mountain anymore. |
