| Route Notes | Giovanetti, Righi, Dawa and Nima left C3 at 3 am (CST) on 11 Oct, and reached at 7700m at 4 am. It was very windy and cold. Then descended to C3 to sleep there. Next day to ABC. Ballardini slept at C2 on 1 Oct, returned to ABC since no motivation to climb further. Mase slept at C2 on 1 Oct. She was very tired and gave up climbing; rest of the time she stayed at ABC. Maurina slept at C2 on 1 Oct, suffered from stomach problem, went down to ABC. No more attempts. Pasinato slept at C2 on 1 Oct, became exhausted and no more climbing. The team returned Kathmandu on 15 Oct and will leave on 19. Sherpas: Dawa Sherpa summited Everest from north side last spring wth Italian group. Nima Sherpa summited Everest from north side last spring with Peter Guggemos. Giovanetti is planning to come for Everest north side in spring 2008. |
