Route Notes Jagged Globe Cho Oyu Expedition 2007 - 10 Oct 2007 Summit party of six members and four Sherpas left C3 for top at 2:45 am NST on 4 Oct. They were Balfour, Campbell, Murphy, Pickett, Short and Spalding, plus Mingma Dupka, Pasang Tenzing, Dawa Tenzin and Phurba Namgyal. They arrived at the summit between 8:37 and 10:15 am and descended to C2 at 2:00 to 3:00 pm after pausing for an hour in C3 on the way. On the 5th they were back in ABC. The weather was very clear; they had fine views of Everest and Lhotse and found a lot of prayer flags at the summit. Janet and Keith Rodber reached 6650m on 28 Sept and then turned back because Keith was having respiratory problems. His wife Janet went down with him. This was the only serious medical problem amongst members and Sherpas (they stayed at ABC till the others were ready to leave for Kathmandu). Oxygen was used by all summit party members. Pickett used it from C2 to top to C2. The others from C3 to top to C3. The Sherpas did not use any. Sherpa summiters: Dawa Tenzin (Dawa Tenji), 31/10/75, Beding, Everest X3, Cho Oyu X1 Mingma Dukpa, Beding Pasang Tenzing, 1/10/84, Beding, Cho Oyu X1, Everest X3 Phurba Namgyal, 7/2/86, Beding, Cho Oyu 24/5/06
