Route Notes Ertips Cho Oyu Expedition 2007 Champly, Etienne, Trecourt, Pemba, Pasang, Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa left C2 on 18 May at 12:00 hours (NST) reached C3 at 16:00 hours, then took rest for a while. Left C3 site at 24:00 hours, reached summit at 13:00 hours on 19 May. The summiters stayed on summti for about an hour, then descended to C2 at 20:00 hours. The team arrived ABC next day. Summit was cloudy, thus could not see Everest. On the summit they saw lots of prayer flags. Spanish climber Miguel Angel Perez was already on the summit ahead of the French team. Behind the French team there were two Spanish climbers of Spanish expeditions who turned around from 8100m. Summit day was cloudy but no wind and there was little snow. French team was the last one to summit Cho Oyu this season. Spanish team also left CBC same day. Boutouil went up to 6700m while trying to go to C2, but the route was difficult for him. Then he went down to ABC and remained there. Carrier suffered from pulmonary edema on 1 May and left CBC same day for Kathmandu. No idea about his arriving and departure to/from Kathmandu. Champly suffered from pulmonary edema while descending from summit and had to use oxygen from C2 to C1 after that he recovered.
