Route Notes BC at CBC/IC on 13 at 5400m. Bertoncini, Botta, Giovanazzi, Humar, Salvaneschi, Tosi, Toscani and Dorje Sherpa left C2 at 02:00 hours (CST). Salvaneschi summited at 12:30 (10:15 NST). Botta and Tosi got to the summit at 14:00 hours (11:45 NST). Salvaneschi stayed on summit about 5 minutes it was very windy, then descended to C2 at about 15:30 hours. Botta and Tosi stayed on summit about 20 minutes and descended to C2 at 18:30 hours. All three members spent night at C2. Next day to ABC. Weather was clear but cold and windy. Summit view was cloudy, the summiters saw on the summit prayer flags and oxygen bottles. Two Spanish climbers were there on summit almost the same time. Bertoncini reached up to 7400m, but he had stomach problem and went down to C2. Giovanazzi reached up to 7600m he felt very cold and turn around with Dorje to C2. Humar and Toscani too turned around from 7600m due to cold. Leader Arrigo remained at ABC all the time. De Lorenzi went up to 6800m (about), then he left ABC on 4 Oct as he was very tired; he may have left Nepal on 6th or 7th. The expedition returned to Kathmandu on 11 Oct and leave on different dates.
