Route Notes BC at CB/IC on 10th at 5300m. Doyle, Levett, Martin, Morgan, Pasang Tenzing and Phura Gyalzen Sherpa left C2 at 23:00 hours/NST on 1 Oct. Morgan, Pasang Tenzing and Phura Gyalzen Sherpa reached to the summit at 06:00 hours on 2 Oct followed by Doyle and Martin at 07:00 hours. The other members Dhillon, Grocott, Gunning, Khosravi, Montogomery, Imray, Pema Chhiring, Nima Gombu, Dawa Tenzing and Thundu left C3 at 01:50 hours on 2 Oct summited between 07:00-07:30 hours. Morgan stayed on summit about two and half hours, Grocott about two hours and rest of the members an hour and half doing their research. Pasang Tenzing took blood samples to C1. All the people on the summit at that time among them were Kenton Cool and his team, Japanese, Chinese medical team. There were more people behind the Grocott team. Weather was clear but cold and windy. The summiters had good view of Everest. Grocott said there were many prayer flags on the summit. Cox left ABC on 20 Sept because his wife is pregnant. He went up to C1. Probably he left Nepal on 22nd. Kolfschoten climbed up to C3 on 2 Oct. She was exhausted and waited for other members at C3. She descended with other members returning from the summit to C1. Levett and Van Hoogenhouck-Tulleken (Christoffer) went up to C2 on 2 Oct; they rescued down to C1 a member of Chinese medical team who fell down about 150m from rock band. Luery stayed at ABC as planned and left on 9 Sept. Mackenney climbed up to C1. He did not like going up. He returned to ABC and stayed there. Mitchell went up to the 6900m on 30 Sept became exhausted and gave up further climbing. Stroud and Wilson went up to the 6900m on 19 Sept became exhausted and gave up further climbing. Van Hoogenhouch-Tulleken (Alexander) reached up to to the top of the ice cliff on 19th and got altitude effect then descended to C1. The expedition team returned to Kathmandu on 5 Oct and most of them will leave on 7 Oct and leader on 14 Oct. Oxygen used: Doyle, Levett, Martin, Morgan used oxygen from C2 to summit and to C3. Other members used from C3 to summit back to C3. Sherpas did not use oxygen.
