Route Notes BC at CBC/IC 18 Sept at 5200m. P. Michalski left C3 at 08:30 hours (NST) on 08 Oct with two Slovenians, Dusan Rauter and Damjan Karnicnik, and Italian Roberto Marabotto. Michalski reached summit around 17:00 hours. He stayed at summit around 20 minutes, then descended to C3 around 21:00 hours. The Slovenians were on the summit few minutes before Michalski. Michalski wrote in his email that he convinced Marabotto to return to tent (C3) as Michalski observed influence of high altitude and exhaustion in Marabotto, who then turned around from around 7900m. The weather was pretty good, clouds at altitude of around 8000m and very strong wind on summit plateau. There were no body on the summit after Michalski. Father Michalski went up to ABC (5600m) on 19 Sept. He got infection which turned into pneumonia, so he did not go higher than ABC. The team (father and son) returned to Kathmandu on 12 Nov and left on 14th.
Accidents Father of Pawel (Jerzy Michalski) suffered from pneumonia
