| Route Notes | Cool, Farr and Tika left C3 at 1 am (NT). Weather was clear, good views of Everest. Spent 1 hour on summit. Cool skied all the way to C2, wehre he arrived at 10 am. Farr was also intending to ski down but as he did not wear ski boots, on way up his boots had frozen in bag. Farr and Tika walked down new route put in by Russell Brice this year. Brice's route veers off to left just below rock band and rejoins original route just above rock band. James, Ramsden, Casserley, Lhakpa and [Gurmin Dorje] left C2 at 11:30 pm on 1 Oct. After the summit they descended to C2, where they arrived at 1 am. The next day everybody walked down to ABC, Cool skied down. He did not ski icefall between C1 and C2, but abseiled. Avery reached C1 on 11 Sept. He suffered retinal hemorrhage and descended to ABC same day, where Extreme Everest Doctors treated him. He returned to Kathmandu on 15 Sept and left for UK on 17 Sept. Moore reached C3 on 1 Oct but abandoned climb due to stomach problems. Samara reached C2 on 18 Sept. He called off expedition due to time pressure since he had to be back in London for his studies at the London School of Economics. He left ABC on 26 Sept. Stephens reached 7200m on 1 Oct. He turned back due to fatigue. Willet got to C2 on 1 Oct. He did not join others on summit push due to stomach problems.
