Route Notes Furtenbach, Mair and Tendi left C3 at 2:30 am (NST) on 1 Oct. Weather was calm and clear. Mair turned back just below yellow band due to cold feet. Furtenbach and Tendi spent 40 minutes on the summit. Good views of Everest. They returned to C3, where they arrived at 1:30 pm. Furtenbach felt sick and tired due to a flu he's had for a while but still skied down to C2 with Mair. They arrived at C2 at 4 pm and stayed the night. Furtenbach noticed at C2 that his toes were numb. He massaged them and tried to thaw them. He was going to see doctor at CIWEC Clinic. Holzer turned back at 7450m (C3) on 30 Oct as she was feeling sick (flu), returned to C2 on foot, not on skies; she was carrying them and could not be bothered to change from crampons to skies. On 21 Oct all 3 members skied down to C1 from C2. They did not ski down the icefall but abseiled down. Sherpa: Tendi Sherpa (46 years), Tapting, Solu, no 8000ers, Ama Dablam several times
Accidents Furtenbach frostbite (left big toe & on right 1st and 3rd toes)
