| Route Notes | BC at CBC/IC on 7 Sept at 5300m. Kerr, Larsen, McGarvey, Mosedale, Tendu and Namgyal Sherpa left C3 at 11 pm NST of Sept 30. Summited on Oct 1 at 9:30 am, stayed on summit about 20 minutes, descended to C3 at 12 noon. Next day to ABC. Weather was very good, clear sky, light wind, saw good view of Everest. The expedition met lot of people descending. There may be about 70-80 people that summited on that day. The expedition returned to Kathmandu on Oct 4 and left on Oct 6. Lockyer went to C1 on 14 Sept, then left expedition 16 Sept because of problems back home.
