| Route Notes | Bianchi and Phu Dorje left C2 at 2 am (NT) on 1 Oct. Weather was clear. Phu Dorje was a lot quicker than Bianchi, so he carried on without him. Bianchi stayed on summit for about 10 minutes, then descended to C3, where he arrived at 4 pm. Phu Dorje was waiting there. Cimenti started from C2 at midnight. He spent 15 minutes on to, then descended to C2. At about 8150m he met Bianchi and gave him his glasses as Phu Dorje carried Bianchi's stuff. But he had already gone on. Cimenti arrived at C2 at noon. He descended to ABC on 2 Oct. Bianchi descended to C1 on 1 Oct and ABC on 3 Oct. Santos got to about 7400m on 30 Sept. He turned back due to lack of experience and energy. He descended to ABC the same day. (He had left with Bianchi from C3). |
