Route Notes First group of four climbers Boucher, Derycke, Milliere and Poirier reached C2 on Sept 19; waited for snowfall to stop to go for summit. Second group of two members Laurens and Milan reached C2 on 21. There was big avalanche started from summit plateau and climbers decided to descend to lower camp. There was minimum 1m deep snow and it was not possible to climb higher up. The expedition had to call off climbing as the Chinese liaison officer refused to extend climbing period. Barreau and Mrs Laurens climbed up to C1 on Sept 20, and Souccar on Sept 19 to C1. They were tired and did not continue their climb. The expedition returned to Kathmandu on Sept 27 and will leave Nepal on 30th.
