| Route Notes | Andres left C3 at 3:30 am together with Ernst and Rudolf Alber. Rudolf turned back at 7500m at 5 am Nepali time due to cold feet and hands. Ernst turned back at 7800m (just above yellow band) due to fatigue at 8 am Nepali time. Andres carried on and arrived at summit at 10:40 am Nepali time. Good views of Everest, not windy. He descended to C3 where Ernst and Rudolf Alber waited for him. From there all three descended to C2, where they arrived at 5 pm. Schweizer got to C1 (6400m) on 6 May. He did not carry on due to weakness and he did not think he was fit enough. He waited at C1 until 10 May when his team members came down from C2. Blaas got to C1 on 28 April. When he got back to BC the next day he felt very sick with stomach problems, fever and a bad back. He left BC on 3 May to return back home. |
