| Route Notes | Goldeband, Moennig, Rabbia, Wolf and Chuldim left C3 at 4:45 am Nepali Time. It was cloudy in the morning, cleared a little bit at sunrise, but clouded over again. Very little wind. Rabbia and Chuldim reached the summit first. Moennig who was with Wolf turned back at 7500m just below the Yellow Band due to cold hands. Wolf and Goldeband met Chuldim and Rabbia on their way up and Chuldim joined Wolf and Goldeband to summit 2nd time that day. After summiting they descended to C3, where they arrived between 5 pm and 6 pm. Moennig descended to C2. Herzer got to about 6700m on 2 May but abandoned climb due to weakness. Kast got as far as C1 on 1 May but abandoned climb due to exhaustion. Herzer and Kast left ABC on 3 May to return to Kathmandu. Sherpa: Chuldim Sherpa, 10/9/71, Khumjung, works regularly for Amical |
