| Route Notes | BC at CBC/IC on 11 April at 5300m at Deposit Camp between ABC C1 on April 17 at 6000m. Hoel and Dag Lovhaug tried to put up C3. On May 9 and left C2 at 01:00 hours (NST), but the snow conditions were bad, so they could not walk properly. There was no balance in their steps. When they reached 7400m, both Hoel and Lovhaug were so exhausted and snow started falling, thus both of them turned around to C2. High point for Flock was C2 (7100m) on May 3; he did not try to continue climbing due to exhaustion. Olav Lovhaug reached up to 6900m; at this point he felt breathing problem so he gave up. The team's experience is that they spent more time carrying load in bad weather conditions which exhausted them and no more energy to carry on the climb. The team returned to Kathmandu on May 14 and will leave the country on May 22; in between they may go to Pokhara/rafting and so on. |
