| Route Notes | Team left 3:30 am (CST), turned back at (11:30 am) and descended to C2 (4 pm CST). McCann and Aasheim skied down from high point to C2 and next day to C1. They skied to right of yellow band and traversed back to C3. At icefall they went right of fixed rope. Very difficult as blue ice. They did not abseil down icefall (and then to ABC), but skied. Team decided to turn back due to cold feet and fear of frostbite. They wore ski boots. |
