| Route Notes | BC at about CBC/IC on 16 at 5300m. Kondo, Ogawa, Sashisaki and three Sherpas left C3 at 02:25 hours (NST) on 28th. Summited at 06:10 hours. Stayed about 30 minutes, down to ABC at 15:00 hours. One Sherpa stayed at C2 and one in C1. Weather was quite good, clear sky, no clouds, no wind. Saw Everest, Lhotse, etc. The team was the first to summit on that day. About 30 people summited on that day. Kondo guesses Mrs Takashita climbed up to C1 on 20th. Next day to ABC. She was not strong enough to continue; besides her face was swollen a bit at C1. She was given Diamox. She is Ok at ABC. The team returned to KTM on Oct 3 and will depart on Oct 11. They may visit Chitwan and other places before leaving the country. |
