| Route Notes | BC at CBC/IC on 14th about 5200m High point on the shoulder of Cho Oyu. On Oct 4 Watanabe left C3 at 07:00 hours (NST), reached at 7900m at noon, returned to C3 about 14:00 hours. Next day to C1 following day to ABC; it took Watanabe 8 hours to reach ABC, normally it takes 2 hours. Weather was good, no wind. According to Watanabe, 4 Spanish (Thamserku Agency) and 2 Austrians summited on that day. Watanabe returned to KTM on Oct 8 and trying to leave on 10th. He said he will come back for Cho Oyu in spring. |
