| Route Notes | Team that summited on 2 Oct left C3 at 6:30 am (Nepali). Group left late due to bad boots (they were not warm enough). They stayed for 15 minutes on summit. Marcelli descended to C3, other 2 to C2, where they arrived at 8 pm. Guinovart Callejon left C3 at 7 am and descended to C2 at 5:30 pm. Orriols Caba got frostbite (2nd degree) on 1st summit attempt on 23 Sept. He got to 8000m but turned back due to onslaught of cerebral edema. One of the British doctors (Jeremy) helped him down to C3. When he arrived at C3 he was better but noticed his frostbite. He stayed in ABC until group left. Cabuti Calatayud did not summit as he was not feeling well on summit push. He had problems with his stomach. He turned back at about 6700m. |
