| Route Notes | BC at CBC/IC April 10 at about 5500m ABC at usual campsite C1 at usual campsite C2 at usual campsite C3 at usual campsite. Curtler and Phura Nuru left C3 at about 03:00 hours (NST) on 27th, reached summit at about 10:00 hours, stayed on summit between 20 to 30 minutes. Descended to C3, rested about an hour, then to C2 where Curtler and Phura reached around 18:00 hours. Next day to ABC. The climbing day weather was nice, clear. Below the summit there were clouds. Curtler said that was wonderful. Curtler said he and Phura while going up met 2 people, American or Canadians, returning from Yellow Band. No other people on the mountain on that day. The expedition team returned to KTM on May 3 and will leave on May 13. Curtler said that the view of Everest and other mountains was just amazing from the summit. |
