Route Notes Summit bid on 23 May from C2 10:00 pm NST by Rafferty and Lynch. Rafferty reached C3 at 1:15 am and Lynch at 3:00 am feeling ill and tired from altitude and he stopped at C3. Rafferty, Ang Chhiri and Pema Nuru (Sherpas were already in C3) up from C3 at 4:00 am, on to base of yellow band at 7600m; now Rafferty's feet now cold and stayed there while 2 Sherpas up to 7700m and then wind too strong to continue up. Rafferty had gone down to C3 and Sherpas joined her there at 8:30 am. Sherpas stopped at C1 cleaning camps and Rafferty to ABC. Now strong winds prevented another summit bid soon. Collin got altitude sickness, stopped climbing between ABC and C1 and left early. Cook had series of illnesses culminating in undiagnosed (in KTM) conditions for which she was given oxygen and intravenous drip slowly recovering in KTM. Francis arrived at ABC with infected foot and never went higher because ABC. Charles Thirwell went to C1 then left expedition (was intimidated by the mountain). Simon Thirwell went to ABC only, then left after 1 week with altitude sickness. Oxygen: Lynch in C3 Cook when very ill 2 days before team leaving mountain to return to KTM Tibetan Tshering Dorje in C3 when getting altitude sickness
