Route Notes BC at CBC/IC 13th at 5200m. On May 3 Basarrate, Estanol and Fernandez left C2 at 02:00 hours (NST), reached 8030m at 11:30 hours. Started snowfall, weather became very bad and cold. They saw Polish climber coming up and he continued for summit. Three members decided to turn back. Basarrate reached C2 at 16:30 hours and last one arrived at 17:30 hours. Reached C2 at 16:30 hours and last one arrived at 17:30 hours. Next day to ABC. Waited for weather improvement but for three days snowfall continued after that high wind. On May 11 Basarrate, Estanyol and Fernandez left Cho Oyu ABC for Xixabangma. The expedition arrived KTM on May 22. They have booking for out-bound flight for May 29. Will try to leave early if possible. Gento had chest infection and had to leave the expedition on April 19 (ABC) and CBC on April 21. He might have left KTM on May 4 or 5.
