Route Notes BC at CBC. Giacone injured in head by falling stone in Kodari near a lodge where he was walking on April 17; took him to B & B Hospital, lifted him by helicopter to KTM. He stayed in KTM about 2 weeks. Perlino continued for Cho Oyu after four days. Giacone probably left Nepal on April 30 - didn't remember the date exactly. Perlino and Da Chhemba Sherpa left C3 on 21st at 02:30 hours (NST), reached summit at 11:15 hours, stayed on summit about 45 minutes, descended, reached C3 at 15:15 hours. Da Chhemba Sherpa came maybe an hour and half hour later to C3. Next day to ABC. Weather was good, windy but not very strong, it was a sunny day on the summit. Everest side was covered with cloud. Perlino offered on summit a kata and chocolate at summit. There were prayer some flags. There was not anybody from other expeditions. While descending Perlino met at C3 members of Russian expedition and Mattiel (Italian) coming up from C2. Perlino returned to KTM on May 24 late evening. Will leave on 28th. Other Sherpa is Kancha Sherpa who had summited Cho Oyu two years ago. Both the Sherpas are from Solukhumbu area.
