Route Notes Plan for 28th April was to acclimatize above C2 and then down to ABC to rest; this was not intended to be a summit push; other 2 members were in ABC (Strebel had been in Tingri with throat problems and Sieveking headache and stomach problem). They tried to go to C2 on 29th, but stayed in C1 on 29th; wanted to go to C2 but turned around at about 200m above C1 because Strebel had no strength in his legs and Sieveking did not want to go on alone, so down to ABC. 5 May up from ABC all members and both Sherpas to C1; 9th May up to C2 except Voight turned back at 6000m and down to ABC; 10 May very windy so stayed in C2; 11th 5 members did not want to go on up; some with mild health problems. Berie decided not to make push for top with uncertain weather conditions. 5 had gone down to ABC starting at 9:00 am NST and Berie decided to quit at 12:15 pm and all down in ABC and climb finished. Sherpas: Chhiri, Thamo, 2 Jun 73, Cho Oyu X2, Everest X2 Chuldim, Khumjung, 10 July 71, Cho Oyu X6
