Route Notes BC at CBC ABC at usual campsite C1 at usual campsite C2 at usual campsite C3 at usual campsite. Sept 29 left C3 at 06:30 hours NST, reached about 8100m around midday. Sat for a rest and went asleep for almost an hour. When woke up she realized that the fingers on both hands swollen. Then she descended to C3 where she reached about 4-4:30 pm. During the night her fingers got worse. In the morning she could not open her tent door by herself. Whenever she heard somebody passing her tent she started asking for help in high voice but nobody bothered her (probably 4/5 people). Around 07:00 or 08:00 hours, somebody called James [McGuinness] from New Zealand, opened her tent from outside and helped to dismantle her tent and also carried down the tent to C2. When Coelho reached serac, the sirdar of her group met her and he carried down her tent to ABC. She said on the summit bid day one German and Tra summited the Cho Oyu. Coelho returned to KTM on Oct 2. She had medication in Nepal International Clinic. She is waiting her luggage to come. Probably she will be leaving on Oct 12 or 13. Frostbitten fingers: Left hand: Three middle fingers - index finger and middle one are very bad. Right hand: All four fingers except thumb. Among the four: ring finger, middle and last finger are very bad.
