Route Notes Left C3 2:00 NST: Gilbert, Crowsley, Mingma Nuru and Phurba, on top 10:30 pm (Gilbert and Mingma Nuru) and 11:00 (other 2). Had glimpses of Khumbu; was with Dave Morton who had brief glimpses of Everest and Lhotse. Took "well over the hour" to move in knee-deep snow to summit. Crowsley to C3 to sleep at 2:30 pm and Gilbert and 2 Sherpas to C2 at 4:00 pm. Hubbard and Major turned back on way up to C3 on 20th, Hubbard's feet cold and Major too tired. Muggleton to C1 site and down to stay (not fit and not acclimatizing). Oxygen: Crowsley and 2 Sherpas used none Gilbert on 21st from 7600m to top and down to 8000m, below summit plateau Sherpa summiters: Mingma Nuru, 22/4/69, Pangboche, Everest X2, Cho Oyu X1, Lhotse X1 Pburba Ridar Bhote, Makalu VDC, Everest X1
