Route Notes Lerner left C3 on May 9 at 03:45 hours, summited at 11:00 hours, stayed about 20 minutes, descended to C2 at 19:00 hours. Clear visibility but extremely windy. Had good view of Everest. Other climbers were DAV Summit Club Expedition. Lerner will stay in KTM for about another two weeks. He was to go for canoeing and visit Pokhara. No fixed departure date. His teammate Przydrozny is still trying for the Cho Oyu Summit. He may return around end of May, depending on his success on the mountain. May 16 left C3 at 04:00 hours, summit at 16:00 hours, stayed 15 minutes. Other on summit together was Ronald (first name) of Austrian expedition. Both spent about 2 hours on summit plateau - moving very slowly. Both the people reached C3 at 21:00 hours. (Ronald left C3 next morning). Tomasz reached C2 about 17:00 hours. It took him [a while] to take out the tent put up by Dutch Expedition long ago. The tent was heavily tied and snow made it more hard work to take out. With all the load - he could not move fast. It was very slow descent to C2. Jakub and Tomasz agreed to share supplies and tent. As per their arrangement C1 was to be put up by Tomasz and C2 by Jakub. They made arrangement with Dutch to borrow C3 tent, fixed by Dutch. In previous note he said C3 altitude was 7560m; in fact the altitude was given by Jakub which he did not properly judge and same altitude was copied by Tomasz. In my second visit Tomasz estimated the altitude of C3 correctly whihc was 7450m. Jakub and Tomasz never climbed together or used tents. Because Tomasz was always ahead of Jakub. When Jakub was at C1, Tomasz in C2, when Tomasz was at C1, Jakub was in C2. On Jakub's summit day Tomasz went down to BC. As Tomasz was ahead of Jakub he missed the ascent time. About summit time he confirmed as 16:00 with Ronald (first name) of Austrian expedition. I talked to Otto Harrer, leader of the Austrian expedition on May 24 around 16:00 hours at Garden Home. He confirmed that Tomasz and Ronald were on summit together - they were very slow. Also confirmed that Ronald slept at C3 with Tomasz on return from summit and left the camp next day. For C2 Ronald left KTM on the morning of May 24.
