Route Notes 26 Sept Diego returned to C2 and from C2 alone on 2:30 NST and on top 10:30 am, saw Everest; on top with Matthias Paletta; returned to C2 about 2:30 pm wth one eye blinded by wind. 25th to ABC. Other 2 members to C1 but did not slept there. 26 Sept again C1 and slept there and 27th to 6700m as per acclimatization plan and to ABC. Planned to start up 1st Oct but winds bad. 2nd Oct up from ABC and slept C1 and again winds "terrible" and broke tent, so now impossible to continue up. 3 Oct down to ABC and climb finished; one Sherpa with them in final attempt.
