Route Notes BC at CBC/Interim Camp High point at above C3 (yellow band - steep section). C1 first used on Sept 10 by Carnahan, Dougherty, Erickson, Griber, Mackay, Marshall, Miller, Nelson, Stoup and Waldron. C2 first used on Sept 16 by Erickson, Griber, Mackay, Marshall and Stoup. October 1 started from C3 at 03:00 (NST), summit at about 09:00 almost all together, spent an hour, reached C2 about 16:00. Good weather. Saw Everest and other peaks. Other summiters before Marshall's team were China-Japan women's expedition, Japanese team. Just front of Marshall's there were German with two Sherpas without oxygen. Italian couple without oxygen and some more people. Henry Todd people were behind them. Pierce Jones left on Sept 11, homesick, missing family; probably left Nepal on 13 or 14. Dougherty left on 16th, ankle hurting and homesick, probably left Nepal on 19 or 20. Cola and Weidmann were there just for trekking. Mackay got stomach upset on the day of summit, no climb. Team arrived KTM on 6th leaving on 8th. Accidents Griber got pulmonary edema on 17th at C2 and left ABC on 21st for KTM with Carnahan and Stoup; they probably have left BC on 23rd
