| Route Notes | CBC at CBC Interim camp on 6th at 5450m. Oct 13: Gallati, Huber, and both Martis started at 02:00 Chinese time. Ernst Marti summited at 18:00 (15:45 NST), spent about 5 minutes, spent night in snow hole (bivouac) at about 6800m. On 14th started down about 07:30, reached C2 at 09:00. On summit day weather was clear but windy. Marti saw Everest/Lhotse and took pictures. On summit saw 3-4 oxygen cylinders and prayer flags. He was alone and last one to summit in the season. Rest of the members reached up to 6800m exhausted, then returned to C2. The expedition members criticized the climbers about the garbage they left in ABC. CBC is well organized and well kept. Tibet: Noninkang 7206m: ascent - partially through new route via Karo La (4950m) with one camp (5600m). Ascent and descent of Noninkangsang was done on skis by all four members. The team is leaving Ktm on Oct 20. |
