Route Notes Oct 05: Gioia, Giannangeli and Mingma Sherpa started from C2 at 0:00 hours Chinese Time, summit at 11:50 (09:35 NST), stayed about 15 minutes, descended to C1 at 17:30. Mingma stayed at C2. Giannangeli reached upto 7300m, had to return due to exhaustion. Alberto Bianchetti, Paolo Bianchetti and Imperatori left ABC on Oct 08 to CBC to arrange porters. The expedition arrived KTM on 10th and leaves on 12th. Alberto Bianchetti remained in C1; Paolo Bianchetti reach up to 7100m; Cittadini up to 7100m; Imperatori up to 6400m; Massena, Palmerini and Testa up to 6800m. Summit day was clear and saw Everest. Before Gioia there were two Spanish and four Sherpas that summited same day. Sarad of Thamerku said no climbing Sherpa was provided; only a cook was there from Thamserku. But from email received in reply to inquiry: Sherpa's name is Mingma Sherpa. We hired him to set up C2 (7200m). On Oct 5th. When Giampaolo Gioia arrived in summit, Mingma and Gioia went together from C2 to C3. Then Gioia went alone to summit because Mingma waited for Spanish Edurne's expedition.
