Route Notes Summit party R. Agirre, Manfrin, Pasaban, Mingma Dorje, Chhang Dawa and Temba from Makalu. Started from C3 3:30 am NST; Manfrin turned back at 8000m because fingers starting to get frostbite, but Agirre, Pasaban and 3 Sherpas to top at 7:35 am and saw Everest and Lhotse. Returned to C3: Pasaban and 2 Sherpas at 9:30 am; Agirre waited at top for winds, too strong and in way direction, returned to C3 1:30 pm. Agirre at 2:30 took off by parapente, looking at Nangpa La after 10-12 minutes safely and returned to ABC at 4:00 pm. "Very tired" but was "wonderful" flight in light wind but very cold (1992 parapented from little below top of Kangchungtse and 2001 from C3 on Xixa). All summit party to ABC that same day. One member, Jesus Maria Agirre, left expedition 30 Sept because not acclimatizing.
