| Route Notes | BC at 4949m CBC; Interim Camp on 10th at about 5400m. Oct 01: Martoia started from C3 at 06:30 Chinese time, summit at 13:30 CST (11:15 NST), arrive C2 at about 18:00. Maieron started at 07:30, summit at 14:30 (12:15 NST), arrived C2 about 18:30. Both saw Everest before them were Swiss, Japanese, German and British. Oct 02: Dal Cin and Pompili started from C3 aat 07:00 hours. Dal Cin summited at 11:30 CST (9:15 NST), stayed about 20 minutes, reached C2 about 17:00 hours. Pompili summited at 13:00 CST (10:45 NST) stayed about 30 minutes, reached C2 about 17:00, saw Everest. Before this team were Chinese/Japanese, Swiss, 3 Spanish, Amical German old man was behind them on summit. They saw prayer flags tied on oxygen bottles, a plaque of Amical Company. Sassatelli gave up climbing and left on Sept 27. The team arrived KTM on 7th and leaving on 12th. The expedition wants to know number of summiters in 2002. |
