| Route Notes | May 3 started both from C2 at 00:45 hours, summitted at 09:05 hours and stayed about 10 minutes. It was stormy, foggy and very cold. Returned to C2 at 12:20 hours. Visibility at summit was about 150m. Had to spend night at C2 due to snowfall. Gerfried Goeschl found a blue ice axe on the summit which he carried with him. He said the axe has Swiss mark. The team lost most of the climbing gears kept at C2 due to storm on 22/23 April. Both the brothers said they have borrowed climbing gear from other expeditions. The gloves were given by Haider (German) which he had given to a Russian climber. The team arrived to KTM on May 9 and plans to leave on 13th. Rainer Goeschl (father of the two) said it was very cold and stayed at BC. |
