Route Notes While Jungquist was attempting summit, right side of her body (eye, hand) paralyzed (stroke). Todd and Ochoa evacuated her to BC. Ochoa and Jungquist with one member arrived KTM on Sept 27. Todd will go to Lhasa. Rest of the members arrived KTM on 29. The expedition team will leave on 30th and Oct 3 and 5. Summit: On 21st left C3 at 03:15 (Nepal Time) reached summit between 10:35-11:00 hours. Spent about 30 minutes on the summit. Descended to C2. Collinet had to retreat from 7800m due to his sugar level (he is a diabetic using insulin injections four times a day to maintain sugar level). Also, he wanted to attempt on summit without oxygen. Perez: did not try as he was not feeling well. Poulsen: he became very tired and was very slow, so he too retreated. On 24th: The second team left C3 at 02:00 hours. Reached summit at about 07:00 hours, spent about 30 minutes on summit, returned to C2 about 16:00 hours.
Accidents Jungquist stroke on Sept 24 at the altitude about 7900m while attempting summit: right side of her body (eye, hand paralyzed)
