Larsen took Saether down to BC sick; had to park him above BC because he couldn't walk, got other Norwegians to come up and get him down to BC and put him in Gamov bag and his climb finished; Saether left BC for KTM on 10th. Larsen left C3 at 3:00 am (NST) started to top with Dawa Jangbu, at top at 11:00 am and saw Everest and prayer flags, returned to C3 about 4:00 pm. From C3 Larsen, snowboarded down to 6400m, where icefall began. Dawa Jangbu slept in C2 and Larsen in C1 that night. |
