Route Notes "Nicest thing about expedition" was no one else there when they arrived and were first to ABC with Australians making route to ABC. This autumn very cold and very windy (gusting over 100 mph). 19 Sept down to ABC to rest. 24th Sept to C2 intending to go to top from C2 on 25th, but winds got very bad (24th they were not), so down to ABC on 26th. Now yaks ordered for 29th and wind remained a "madstorm," so left mountain. They lost the good day, the 24th for the top by being delayed in ABC by Stevie's infected hip. This team were on "International IMG Cho Oyu Expedition" permit and reached BC and ABC with others and then moved independently. Returned to KTM 1 October and stayed in Hotel Gaurishankar.
