| Route Notes | Horne and Ratliff carried load from C2 to C3 on 20th May and established C3 on 21st May where two climbers spent two nights. It started snowing from afternoon 22nd May and continued till the night and morning of 23rd May. Weather did not improve and it was some 18th thick fresh snow. So two climbers decided to go down. Paul Richins reached C2 and Yoshinobu Hayashi reached halfway between C1 and C2 (6700m), but had to turn around because of headache and altitude sickness. |
