Route Notes BC at Chinese camp ABC at normal spot C1 at normal spot C3 at below Yellow Band. Michael Dreher left early on 8th of May due to a lung infection and was not acclimatizing well. Wolfgang Kunze also left early on 3 May due to stomach sickness, dysentery, and could not eat. Sherpas: Ang Kami from Kathmandu went to C3, Mingma Sherpa reached 8000m with Henry Voigt and turned back because he did not feel like climbing. On 17 May the second team summited at 12:30 pm - they saw prayer flags at top and a few glimpses of Everest, then came down to C3 to spend the night. It was a little cloudy on the summit. Holzknecht originally tried to summit with Henry, but turned around just after C3 and then summited the next day (17 May). (Summiter turned back before C3).
